In order to secure the light and wind from the neighboring land and the space in front of the windows, an octagonal plan is used, and the volume with bay windows on all sides is stacked. The lines of the recesses in each layer are derived from the height of the surrounding buildings' towers, roofs, and eaves, and while satisfying the legal requirements for bay windows, they also function as a structure to reduce the blowing wind. The exterior is clad in carbonized cork.
