Outline
This roadside station was constructed in the southern part of Mashiko Town, Tochigi Prefecture. The mountain-shaped wooden structure creates a large space with a maximum span of 32 meters. The structure is made of glued-together Japanese cedar using local timber, and the space consists of three rows of parallel roofs that undulate in different phases. The base of the structure is made of reinforced concrete, and the walls are made of local soil.
